What Nobody Tells You About the Link Between Gratitude and Abundance

It is often said that if you want to attract more abundance into your life, practice gratitude. Having a spirit of gratitude will energetically bring us more to be grateful about. My experience has proven this to be true. But from a spiritual level, how does this work? How does gratitude attract more abundance?

When we look at the nature of the universe, the answer becomes a little clearer. The nature of Life/ The Universe/God/Spirit/Source/Being (whatever you choose to call it) is, by definition, fullness and completeness, meaning it lacks nothing and it needs nothing in return.

I like to call it Being. Being is fullness and is ever expanding. Being knows no limits, because it is the infinite universe itself. It has no need because it is fullness itself. It has no want because it is all things. By definition, it can therefore do nothing else but expand. And through this expansion, there’s a constant flowing outward, ever expanding towards the outer edges of the universe.

When we practice gratitude, we are mimicking this same flow of nature, we are expanding outwards. We are showing no need or want, but rather we are showing fulfillment and expanding out from a full center. This simple act alone mirrors the divine nature of the universe.

Looking at the law of resonance, we see that resonant waves come together and merge into one. So when we mimic the energetic pattern of the universe, we have no choice but to blend energetically with this power that is full, complete, expansive, and far greater than the human mind could ever comprehend.

This merger, in and of itself, is what allows all aspects of abundance to come into our lives, because on a spiritual and energetic level, everything is already ours — we are vibrating together with the universe in ecstatic motion.

When we align with this outpouring of energy, we don’t gain new things to be grateful for. We simply realize that all things in life are intrinsically already a part of us anyway.
